From a typographic design, originally commissioned by the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture, Ithra for its 2021 annual report book, this work transforms the calligraphic piece into a large-scale light performance. Hundreds of illuminated drones reinterpreted the original letters and forms, restoring their movement and spirit across the sky of Khobar. By translating the typographic design of word “Culture” into a synchronized light choreography, the artwork merges the beauty of the Arabic language with contemporary technology, offering a visual experience that honors tradition while extending it into a modern, expansive space.
