إهدنا الصراط المستقيم

Wood and recycled plastic
Exhibited Dec 2021 at
Arthr gallery,
The 7th edition of YSA exhibition

This wooden-based sculptural work is inspired by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure. Traveling on long road trips, encountering diverse cultures, and experiencing different environments opened my eyes to the beauty of the world and the lasting impact mankind can leave behind.

Roads, bridges, extensions, and journeys.

Options, opportunities, and experiences.

Beginnings, challenges, and more challenges—some to fulfill, others to let go.

I became fascinated by the connection between these long road trips and the human relationship with roads, stories, and lasting memories. They remind me of the ayah, ‘Guide us to the straight path,’ as I reflect on the winding roadmaps of my experiences.

As a calligrapher with a deep understanding of multiple calligraphy styles, I practiced and experimented with each letter, shaping it until the final result aligned with my unique vision.
